Everything a notebook should do

AI cards

Type a word or a phrase. Get IPA, part of speech, CEFR level, meanings, examples and collocations.

Five card kinds

Flashcard, multiple choice, spelling, reverse and cloze. You choose which kinds a session may use.

Focused decks

Audio only, hard spellings, confusable pairs, starred words, or one topic or level at a time.

Audio

Every word and example can be read aloud with text-to-speech.

Any language pair

English to Persian, German to English, Spanish to Turkish. Right-to-left languages get their own font.

Offline first

Everything is stored on your device and synced when online. It works without a connection.

Import and export

Export as Lexpad JSON or CSV at any time. Import from CSV, Quizlet and Anki.

Right to left, in its own font

A notebook has a target language and a meaning language. Persian, Arabic and other right-to-left languages are set in Vazirmatn and read the right way round.

Not feeling up for it tonight

/nɒt ˈfiːlɪŋ ʌp fɔːr ɪt təˈnaɪt/ · phrase

احساس نداشتن انرژی یا تمایل به شرکت در فعالیتی

I'm not feeling up for it tonight, so I'll stay home instead.

امشب حوصله‌اش را ندارم، پس در خانه می‌مانم.

Five boxes, one schedule

Every word sits in one of five boxes. A correct answer moves it up one box. A wrong answer sends it back to box one.

Each box waits a little longer before asking again: today, then 1, 3, 7 and 21 days. Words in box five count as mastered.

Box 1

today

Box 2

1 day

Box 3

3 days

Box 4

7 days

Box 5

21 days

Correct → up one box

Wrong → back to box 1

Box 5 = mastered

Made for phrases, not just words

Idioms, collocations and whole sentences get the same treatment as single words. Each card carries the meaning, an explanation in the target language, examples with translations, and the expressions the phrase appears in.
